David Stesner is a classically trained mixed-media artist known for his striking portraiture and innovative techniques. Born in New Jersey, he discovered photography at age 10 and later earned a BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He assisted renowned photographers before expanding into painting, sculpture, and digital art, leading to collaborations with major fashion magazines and global brands.

His decade-long series, The Butterfly Project, blends photography, painting, and digital editing to explore themes of beauty, transformation, and human emotion—partly inspired by the loss of his sister and the birth of his daughter. Incorporating elements of fashion and luxury branding, his work bridges fine art, pop culture, and commerce.

Stesner’s art is exhibited in over 40 galleries worldwide and is included in prominent collections, including the St. Regis Hotel in Doha. He is also active in philanthropy, supporting cancer research and education. He lives in New York City with his family.
