Bringing Sound to Life 

At the Baker Institute for Children with Hearing Loss, the organization believes every child deserves the opportunity to hear, speak, and thrive. What begins as access to sound becomes access to education, relationships, and a fully engaged life. 

Originally developed at Stanford University, its evidence-based model brings together clinicians, educators, and families to help children with hearing loss develop listening and spoken language. Today, as an independent nonprofit, the institute is expanding that work through programs in California, Hawai‘i, and Kenya, equipping families with the tools, support, and community they need to help their children succeed. 

This mission was recently shared in Palm Beach through a special documentary screening and fundraiser, where guests experienced the powerful journey from silence to sound. For many, it served as a moving reminder of how transformative this work truly is.
